Elizabeth Mpitse, or Lizzy as she is known to all, worked as a part time book keeper for the Crisis Coalition before joining as full time administrator in April 2005. Before that she worked for several years as a book-keeper for the Human Rights Institute of South Africa (2001-2004) and the Community Dispute Resolution Trust (1997-2001). These positions stimulated her interest in NGO work and influenced her decision to try to remain in the NGO sector. Prior to joining the Community Dispute Resolution Trust, Lizzy had worked in a number of private companies as a temp. In 1997 she received an award from PAG Consultants as one of the best temps. Lizzy has a Certificate in Bookkeeping from Turret College, a diploma from the Institute of Business Studies and she is currently studying at the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Her goal is to become a Chartered Accountant.
