Profile - Pedzisai Ruhanya
Pedzisai Ruhanya is the Program manager. Joined the Coalition in 2004. A human rights academic with qualifications from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ, Zimbabwe), the University of Essex (UK), the University of Minnesota's Law School (US), the University of New York (US) and Harare Polytechnic. Ruhanya is a prolific writer and senior journalist. He won the International Press Freedom Award in 2004 with the Toronto-based Canadian Journalists for Freedom of Expression following the fire-bombing and subsequent State ban of Zimbabwe's only privately-run daily news paper, The Daily News where he was Deputy News Editor at the time of the closure.
